Coaching Opportunity: Empowering Stories from Behind the Bench
The Coaches Association of Ontario has announced a new storytelling webinar series featuring MLSE coaches
from diverse and inclusive backgrounds. These sessions aim to inspire a new generation of coaches who are representative of the communities they live in.
Each session will feature an MLSE coach from a different team as they share their coaching journey, as well as tools and tangible takeaways in their area of expertise, which you will be able to use with your athletes.
Webinar dates will be announced throughout fall 2021 and into 2022.

Join Coach Sam, a first-generation Asian American, as he shares his journey from high school hockey player to NHL coach.
Beginning his coaching career in 2009, Kim spent more than a decade honing his craft in top amateur hockey leagues, including the NCAA, USA Junior Hockey & AHL, as well as with the South Korean National Team. In 2020 he made the move to the NHL, joining the Toronto Maple Leafs as a Video & Coaching Coordinator.
Integrated into the stories about his teams, Coach Sam will also discuss how to use video effectively with your athletes, including presenting video sessions, feedback and rules of engagement for coaches and players.
