New Head Contact Rule

Beginning the 2011/2012 season, Hockey Canada introduced a new rule for head contact; see Hockey Canada rule 6.5 for further information. These rules were implemented to help curb hits to the head, which are the leading cause of concussions.

While the NOHA Board does feel that these rules have helped, they also feel that more can be done to further send a message that contact to the head area will not be tolerated.

See letter below for full information.
